Recently I did a review for Pacifica’s Tahitian Garden solid perfume. In addition to the solid perfume, Pacifica also makes perfume sprays. And if you’re a fan of tropical fruits (or any fruity scents) then you’ll love Pacifica’s Brazilian Mango Grapefruit. It smells very natural, almost like cutting into sweet ripe mangoes.
The Brazilian Mango Grapefruit perfume spray is also very easy to wear. What’s neat is that there is no artificial fruit scent here, just Pacifica’s natural blend of essential and natural oils of grapefruit and orange.
Citrus scents are some of my favorite essential oils, as they are very uplifting and energizing.
Pacifica sent me this bottle of Brazilian Mango Grapefruit perfume spray to try out. I love the design of the bottle. It’s small enough you can bring it with you and just spray a little bit on your wrist for a quick perky scent.
Ingredients: Pacifica’s Brazilian Mango Grapefruit Spray Perfumes contain natural denatured alcohol (from corn) and Pacifica’s own fragrance blend with natural and essential oils including grapefruit and orange. No parabens, animal testing, animal ingredients or artificial colors. 100% VEGAN and Gluten-free.
Other fruit scents in Pacifica’s line include Bali Lime Papaya, Tuscan Blood Orange, Mediterranean Fig, and of course my favorite Hawaiian Ruby Guava.

Champagne mangoes have become quite popular in California, possibly in the rest of the country too.
They can easily be found at most Asian grocery stores sold by the case. Many are imported from either Mexico or the Phillipines. I’m sure Thailand and Vietnam is not far behind with their own harvest too.
They are also known as Manila mango, honey mango, or simply yellow mango. What ever it’s called, it’s really the sweetest mango I’ve ever tasted.

The flesh is bright orange or yellow and the flesh is very soft. The skin is very thin. And the seed is small. The pulp is not stringy like other ripe mangoes. Although the common variety (usually grown in Florida) are just as good in their own way.

A recent study by the The Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry noted six scents that helps soothe away stress.

The scents include lavender, lemon, orange, grape, mango, and basil. Each of these fruits and herbs contain linalool, which is a chemical that appeared to offset the effects of stress. Linalool provides a calming effect on the limbic center of the brain, which is involved in processing emotions.
I’m surprise peppermint didn’t make it on the list. Peppermint is great at relieving headaches and also very uplifting. I always feel more relaxed and calm after being around peppermint.
The scent of any fruit makes me happy. Especially guava, but mangoes come out second. There is actually a tree that grows in my mom’s yard with leaves that smell very much like green mango. The young leaves are edible and taste just like tangy green mango! I don’t know the name of it, but will have to take a picture of it when spring arrives.
