I planted some “leftover” tulip bulbs in some flower pots and soon forgot about them. Surprisingly they are now in bloom! These plants do get lots of nice sunshine and shade throughout the day.

This is the pink tulip getting some shade. And of course my little Dessert Rose (which I prefer to call them, but they are really named “hens and chicks”) in the blue and white pot. They are succulent evergreen perennials. It is a super easy to grow plant.

The color combo of this tulip looks more green then pink. There are also more succulents and a little Geranium in the background.
And this is my little bamboo plant. It has gotten so much taller over the years. I don’t really see any new shoots, but it does keep going vertical. The cats love to stop by and chew on the bamboo leaves. And these little red Begonias are doing well too.
I have to thank M for taking care of these plants for me when I’m away. Photos taken by M via Apple iPhone. Photos taken in Northern California.

I see you’ve quiet a collection of potted plants and they look very healthy, thanks for sharing your photos.
I’ve been wanting to grow some bamboo, but I was afraid that it’d spread to the neighbor’s yard, planting in pot seems like a good idea, do you’ve to take them inside during the winter months?

My mom’s friend was moving and gave me some of her bamboo in this pot for me. It’s more then 5 years old!
Lucky for me - I don’t have to take any of plants inside during the winter. On the really cold nights we just cover them with plastic or cloth. But never with this bamboo plant.
