These are my new “Seabuckthorn & Green Tea Handmade Soaps”. Since I was having so much fun with hot process soaping, I decided to make these the same way.
You can usually tell if it’s hp soap by the little bubbles around the surface. This is noticeable even when I made sure to fill the mold all the way with soap. Hot process soap is tricky in that sense.

Ingredients: Olive oil, soybean oil, coconut oil, palm oil, distilled water, seabuckthorn oil, rice bran oil, green tea powder, and green tea melon fragrance. Because they are half circle bars, they fit well in the palm of my hands.
The last Seabuckthorn soap I made was was nice and I added lots of good ingredients. Including red palm oil, which gave it the deep golden color.
For this version, I just kept it simple. Except I also added green tea powder. Green tea is making it’s mark in many cosmetic products due to it’s benefits to skincare.
The benefits of green tea in skincare include:
Rich in vitamins C and E.
Soothing to your skin.
Antioxidant powers protect it from unfriendly environmental factors and free radicals.
I’ve been using the Seabuckthorn & Green Tea as facial soap (as well as the jasmine soap too). I have so many different types of soap, I just switch back and forth every couple of days.
So far, so good!
I like all things Sea Buckthorn as it is known to help improve skin condition, especially with dryness and wrinkles. It also leaves your skin feeling very pampered and moisturized too.

I was worried at first about switching to different types of soap but my skin seems to adjust well and I kind of thought that it’s because you use the same basic ingredients in all your soap. This one sounds real good and it looks like a half moon also.

Hi Nye,
I’m glad to hear your skin is adjusting well to them.
I think I found a good basic recipe and I’m sticking with it for now. I tend to use different soaps depending on my mood. Some days when I need extra perk, I’ll use the peppermint soap.

I’ve been using this soap for several days now and really like it. Lee took my peppermint soap, so I’m not sure how that one is, I might have to steal it back.

I just bought more seabuckthorn oil and hope to make more as this is becoming one of my favorite soap.
I’m glad Lee enjoys the handmade soap too. I hope this one isn’t be too rough for her as I’ve put lots of poppy seed in it. One of my Etsy customer tells me her daughter loves the Vanilla Spice soap. That I would not have guessed… but the vanilla scent is yummy.

I think she likes the smell of peppermint and hasn’t complaint of it being too rough.

Next time I will include a soap just for her too.

Cambree, thanks. You should consider making one for children, you never know you might have some young fans out there.

I am working on a chocolate and fruit bar… photos coming soon.
Just have to make sure the kids don’t eat them in the shower!
