My body cream review today is Elarila - San Pellegrino Shea Butter Body Cream made with sweet almond milk. This cream felt more like a salve as it was not soft or buttery, but much denser in texture. The good part is that it does melt easily right into your skin and does not leave a greasy feeling either.

There are so many good ingredients put into this body cream that you can’t really go wrong. The only thing I didn’t like was the fragrance. It’s reminds me of some kind of powdery floral scent. But it’s not too bad and not too strong either.
This body cream is made with 85% shea butter cocoa butter, as well as almond and avocado oil. The cream can be applied to your face too. But that’s probably better in the wintertime when your skin can be extra dry. I have used it on skin rashes and find they work just as well too.
Shea butter (also known as karite nut) is found in Sub-Saharan Africa. And in West Africa they also use it as cooking oil. Shea butter is commonly used in making soaps and lotions.

You can also buy shea butter in it’s pure form and use that as well. But there are different ways of extracting the butter and it could effect the quality of butter you’re getting. I usually get unrefined shea butter from soap making suppliers.
Some benefits of shea butter include help with fading scars. Treating eczema and psoriasis. Dry lips and skin also benefit from the application of shea butter. And it also help deal with stretch marks and uneven skin tone as well. This list really goes on and on. No wonder Africans consider this their “Tree of Life.”
Dermatologists recognise Shea butter as an effective treatment for eczema and psoriasis. It’s high level of fatty acids and vitamins work on the skins epidermal cells to maintain moisture and elasticity. This is why it can be a good remedy for stretch marks and dry skin. A good assistant in the fight against wrinkles, the vitamin’s A and E help to skin stay supple whilst the vitamin F rejuvenates tired skin. Africans use it to cleanse both the inside and out of their bodies. The butter increases the re-oxygenation of the body’s tissue and helps to eliminate metabolic waste products. - So Organic
