It wouldn’t be Christmas without candy canes. It’s simple candy made with sugar and peppermint oil.

This youtube video shows how candy cane is made in a larger scale. It’s fun to see how the colors and texture change and also how a blob becomes candy canes.
If you have the time, making homemade candy canes would be fun. For me, just grabbing a box is so much easier!
Just some random candy company info: Hammond’s Candies is an American made candy producer since 1920. The first candy cane festival was held in 1999 at the brand’s Denver factory. It was stated that more than 7,000 attend the annual event. That is a big crowd! During the Christmas holiday, they have more than just mint candy canes. There are candy cane and candy ribbons in various flavors.

Cambree, neat how they make the candy canes, I saw the show about making candies at the Food Network before and it’s very similar to this.
